B I O G R A P H Y Tom has been a life-long artist from the first moment he picked up a pencil and brush. He attended the Worcester (MA) art museum classes for artistically gifted children and in high school he received honors for his student pieces. He continued his fine art studies at Clark University, and later did post graduate studies in Mexico at the Institute Allende, in San Miguel de Allende, and finally at the Art Student League in New York City. He joined the Woodstock (NY) Artists Association, exhibited his works, and also established a gallery in his country inn which he owned and operated and where he mounted group exhibits which included his own works as well as those of local artists. At the Art Student League in NYC his work matured rapidly. Currently, his main focus is indoor sculpture and assemblage art. He exhibits in New York City and regional galleries and has won numerous national competitions, has accepted many private commissions while maintaining membership in major artist groups and associations. Tom presently works out of his studio in Orlando, FL. Highly productive, and never repetitious, Tom creates his assemblages and indoor sculptures primarily with unusual combinations of natural, organic, and unique found objects. |
